Current support
- Keyboard access to primary commands, with a searchable Command Palette and a built-in shortcut reference.
- VoiceOver labels, values, and hints for custom controls such as the theme picker and preview panes. Generated previews use semantic headings, tables, and labels. Git rows describe line numbers and changes; removed-text rows announce the baseline text.
- Small, medium, large, and extra-large preview text settings, plus zoom controls in the host viewer.
- System light and dark appearance through the Auto theme, alongside fixed reading themes. Core theme text and code colors have automated contrast checks; generated previews respond to Increase Contrast with stronger borders and link treatment.
- Native transitions and preview scrolling honor macOS Reduce Motion.
- Visible focus and standard macOS menu access for common actions.
- Git changes use border styles, minus marks or strikethrough for removed text, plus/minus totals, and accessible descriptions in addition to color.
Testing and current limitations
Complete end-to-end VoiceOver and Voice Control coverage has not yet been verified. Contrast and color-independent cues may vary by theme and view.
Finder Quick Look and system Open, Save, Share, and Print panels are controlled by macOS. Preview text-size and zoom controls do not change those system interfaces. Spacefolio has no audio or video content.
Keyboard help
Choose Help → Keyboard Shortcuts or press Command-/ in Spacefolio for the current shortcut list. Press Command-K to search actions and Markdown outline headings.
About rendered documents
Spacefolio preserves text selection and semantic headings in supported previews. Accessibility can also depend on the source document—for example, whether Markdown images include useful alt text and headings follow a meaningful order. The app’s document-health tools can flag several of these issues.
Feedback
Accessibility is an ongoing part of product quality, not a one-time certification. When reporting a barrier, include the affected view, input method or assistive technology, macOS version, and the result you expected. Do not include private document content.
