Crypto Analyzer Support

Help with private CSV import, portfolio analysis, fees, and UK capital-gains reports on iPhone and iPad.

Get help

The fastest starting point is Settings → Help & Support inside the app. It includes searchable Q&A, a glossary, system information, and an optional privacy-clean diagnostic export.

Protect your financial privacy.

Never post a real exchange CSV, wallet address, transaction ID, tax reference, API key, seed phrase, or portfolio balance in a public support request. Use synthetic examples. Nothing is uploaded automatically by the app.

Import help

Crypto Analyzer supports verified spot-history formats from:

Open Settings → Import CSV or use the in-app CSV Export Guide. The app detects the exchange from the file header. If an exchange changes its format, the import fails with an explanation rather than guessing how a row affects holdings or tax.

Before sending a support request

  1. Confirm the file came from the supported report named in the in-app guide.
  2. Do not open and resave the CSV in a spreadsheet app before the first import attempt.
  3. Read the import receipt for unsupported rows, missing columns, duplicates, or mixed account scope.
  4. If needed, export diagnostics from Settings and review the file before sharing it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I try the app without my own data?

Yes. Choose Try Demo First during onboarding. Demo values are synthetic and labelled throughout the app.

Does the app connect to my exchange account?

No. Exchange transactions are imported from files you select. The app does not ask for exchange credentials and cannot trade, transfer, or custody cryptocurrency.

Does my portfolio leave my device?

Your transaction history, quantities, balances, wallet addresses, filing identity, and tax records stay on your device. Market-price, token-logo, and USD-to-GBP services receive symbols or trading pairs, dates where needed, optional provider keys, and normal connection metadata. Providers may retain limited request information under their own policies. Crypto Analyzer itself has no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDK.

Why does Dashboard profit differ from Tax & Fees?

The dashboard is a performance view. The UK tax view applies HMRC share-matching in the required order: same-day, acquisitions in the following 30 days, then the Section 104 pool. Rebuying after a disposal can therefore produce a different cost basis.

Can I file directly from the app?

No. Filing Packs and SA108-aligned worksheets are preparation aids for you or your accountant. Verify all figures and use HMRC or your chosen filing service to submit. Crypto Analyzer does not provide tax, legal, financial, or investment advice.

How do I delete my data?

Settings → Clear Saved Data removes portfolio and tax data while keeping preferences and saved API keys. For complete in-app erasure, revoke consent from the in-app Privacy Policy or Terms screen and choose to delete local data. Exported files remain where you saved them. If you revoked Reminders access first, remove any filing reminder directly in Reminders.app. Deleting the app removes its remaining app container from the device.

What if current prices do not load?

The app checks its memory, user cache, bundled offline database, and several public sources. Review Settings → Price Data for source health and per-token retry controls. Historical tax calculations retain their recorded source and do not silently replace a missing value with an unrelated token.

Accessibility

Crypto Analyzer supports VoiceOver labels, Dynamic Type, light and dark interfaces, reduced motion, increased contrast, and status cues that do not rely on colour alone. Include your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, text size, and assistive feature in an accessibility support request.
